Once the FZ6 engine has a proper break-in, what kind of top speed can I expect?

I think I got up to 220 or 221 before, but my speedo has a big pouch.

Seriously, search it has been talked about every model year and every season since the FZ6 came out. If it is satisfying enough, I believe the top speed is in the 138-145 range. Shit, I don't know from experience but it fast enough to break every speed limit in the US and thats enough for me.

faster than you'll ever need. fast enough to get you in big trouble. Indicated I think reaches 148~150mph, actual probably more like 135~140 downhill with wind pushing you.

i hit 151 mph but not sure if was the actual speed. next time i will take the GPS

I've heard that they can go 765,600 per hour with the right person riding. Oh yeah, thats in feet per hour...

nfloor^^^ ive hit 158 indicated but it was probably no faster than 140 actually maybe a little off estimate a mph or two either way...

Damm!!! I got mine up to 116Mph on the Speedo and that was fast enough!!!! 140+ is Insane...

157 on speedo. I do believe it really did do close to that too...I know people say the speedo is off...but....the FZ6 is a quality machine and I believe in its performance. Plus, All I remember at that speed was complete tunnel vision...I think it could do 160top....that's also with aftermarket exhaust though.

most i've had is 137mph indicated on the motorway, and having the naked bike, all i could take was about 20 seconds or so of doin that! It felt like every vertebra and muscle in my neck and back had become one solid block!

111mph actual, top of fourth gear on the dragstrip. Runs outta puff after that, would take a bit of distance to pick up more speed. Seen only 105mphon the street, hard to find a quiet road smooth enough and remote enough to not draw unwanted attention.
Got the whole "go stupidly fast" thing outta my system now, only for the track.

I hit 76mph once but that was in a 65mph zone and I hear the cops will only give you 10mph so I shut her down FAST!

It all depends on if you are doing it on public roads or not.... there's always a chance you will make top speed before you die or lose your licence.

Most I can do is around 60-65mph, and that's close to redline...
BTW, what's that little foot lever thingy on the left hand side?

I'v got 155mph via speedo but i run out of road, i reckon it could of pulled about 160mph maybe a couple mph more, didnt get tunel vision though

i could see 160-165 indicated speed in mph but i dont think the actual speed could ever reach higher than 150mph in actual speed on the stock bike...
